Deposition & Erosion

Jeez, who knew that most of my Bonavista pics would end up coming in handy.
This is a landmark in Bonavista called the "Dungeon". It's an underground sea-cave that slowly eroded until in collapsed. At high tide it just looks like a small pool of seawater but at low tide you can see that it actually connects to the Bay.
If you ever wondered why NL is called "The Rock" these pics should explain it. While there may be a very fine layer of till it's mostly just rock. And yes..you are able to just stroll up to the edge of The Dungeon, you can even scale down the cliff face and swim in the pool (at low tide of course) but that's not for the faint of heart. LOL
So of course, wheres there smoke theres fir....I mean where there's erosion theres deposition. When you pan slightly to the right of The Dungeon there's a small pocket beach.

My Kind of Cruise

Tired of those boring caribbean cruises where all you do is shop, drink & relax? Then maybe you should try an ocean discovery cruise. Learn about the ocean from real ocean explorers and take part in a Woods Hole experience.

New Favourite Commercial

Today: Washington, Tomorrow: Fremantle?

Seeing how everyone is so eager to go to DC, who wants to go to Australia?

There's a new Maritime Museum that recently opened in Western Australia that looks pretty fun.

Cruise Ship Pollution

Here's a pic I snagged a few seconds ago. I missed the big plume while I was grabbing my camera but I still managed to snag this one. Just think of all the cruise ships around the world and all the plumes of pollution they're creating. And to think this is only visible pollution, god only knows what they're leaving behind in the water that we can't see.

Sant Ocean Hall
