Jeez, who knew that most of my Bonavista pics would end up coming in handy.
This is a landmark in Bonavista called the "Dungeon". It's an underground sea-cave that slowly eroded until in collapsed. At high tide it just looks like a small pool of seawater but at low tide you can see that it actually connects to the Bay.
If you ever wondered why NL is called "The Rock" these pics should explain it. While there may be a very fine layer of till it's mostly just rock. And yes..you are able to just stroll up to the edge of The Dungeon, you can even scale down the cliff face and swim in the pool (at low tide of course) but that's not for the faint of heart. LOL
